HOME COOKED
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give Home Cooked as a gift?
Absolutely! This is my favorite. I love the idea of a group of friends or family members rallying around a family to provide them with some home-cooked meals! Contact me via email and we will coordinate a gift message to your lucky recipient.
Do I need to clean my kitchen before you come?
Please don't! This service is supposed to reduce your stress, not add to it.

Do we need to be home while you are cooking?
No! You are obviously welcome to be there, but it is not necessary.

Do I need to entertain you while you're here?
Of course not! I am happy to chat as much or as little as you want. My goal is to not get in your way - you can continue to live your life at home as you normally would.

Can I order just one or two meals, not three?
Short answer - no. My pricing is set up to prepare three meals. It is a far better use of my time to come and prepare multiple meals at once, as opposed to preparing only one. I am, however, always happy to work with your needs for each week and cook accordingly. For example, if you really only need a couple meals for the week, let's make you an additional frozen meal and you can pull it out a different week!

How about extra meals?
Yes - this can typically be accommodated for an extra fee.

Will you hold my baby while I shower? (and other such questions)
Please! Yes, my primary purpose is to cook meals for your family, but hey, while I'm there, I am more than happy to help support you in any way I can. Plus, who doesn't love to hold a squishy, new baby?!

Why isn't there a hyphen in Home Cooked?
Believe me, as I named this business, I worried about the grammar police. Home Cooked is named what it's named because the meals are cooked in your home. The meals I will make you - those are home-cooked meals!
